REPORT ON VISIT OF 2 MINISTERS TO KIBLAH COLLEGE AND TAHFIZ CENTRE ON 24TH NOVEMBER 2017 :
Dato’ Seri Mahdzir Khalid (Minister of Education), and Dato’ Seri Hamzah Zainuddin (Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-Operatives & Consumerism)

About 7 weeks ago, discussion was made in the Malaysian Cabinet regarding problems of managing private Islamic schools in Malaysia. Our Minister of Trade, Dato’ Seri Hamzah informed that he has a well-managed school under his supervision. This led to the Minister of  Education promising to the Honourable  Prime Minister to visit the Kiblah College.

On 24th November both came to the school on the special occasion of  the year end 2017 Convocation whereby awards were given to best students in various categories including 24 students who completed memorisation of the whole Al-Quran Al-Kareem.

Both Ministers were given a detailed presentation of the Kiblah Integrated  School, Tahfiz And Vocational Education System by Al-Ustaz Ismail Omar, the Managing Director of the Kiblah College. The presentation carried on interactive manner whereby both Ministers participated positively in the ensuing discussions. In fact, at one point, the Education Minister commented that he had just advised the public to focus on 3-diamensional education system which he now found out that Kiblah had already implemented such system well ahead of other institutions.

Next, the 2 Ministers took a tour of the Kiblah College by first sighting the Gallery which showed how the College was developed to its present education complex consisting of 7 buildings by the donation of  His Majesty Syeikh Hamad Ibn Khalifah Al-Thani, the former Emir of Qatar.

After that the 2 Ministers were shown the Vocational education section, the Home Tutor section representing the advanced IT section of the College, and the newly established  College Library.
Next, both Ministers entered the Main Hall by giving powerful speeches praising the school achievements and giving away awards to best students in front of the students’ parents which was broadcasted live over the internet tv.

On his way out, the Education Minister gave a very encouraging remark indeed to the reporters which was broadcasted over the Malaysian evening and morning prime TV news. He said that Kiblah should be regarded as an excellent model and all other private Islamic schools in Malaysia should treat Kiblah College as a model whereby all other private Islamic education institutions should learn from its successful establishment
